COLUMBUS, GA- Glenn Allen Stickles, 60, of Columbus passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at his residence.
Glenn was born on July 17, 1953 and was originally from Hopewell Junction, NY. He was united in marriage to his loving wife, Gail Davis Stickles. Glenn retired from New York Power Authority and most recently worked in transportation.
Glenn will be fondly remembered by his family as a loving husband and devoted "Papa." Survivors include: his daughter, Danielle Bloomer; son, Ryan Stickles; two step children, Angela Davis and Courtney Brown; seven grandchildren, Meribeth Davis, Alayna Slaton, Melissa Slaton, Madison Brown, Myles Brown, Lexi Bloomer and Dylan Bloomer; and two great-grandchildren, Bayleigh Davis and Bryce Davis.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April, 26th at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 2100 Hilton Avenue, Columbus, GA 31906. The family asks that donations be made to Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, GA 31909 in lieu of flowers.

Easter has just passed, and Glory to Jesus for His sacrifice for us all. Although I miss you so many many times every day, I am forever grateful that you are with Jesus every day . Heaven must be a glorious place to be. I will see you again when God calls me home also. Meanwhile, I'm taking care of "our girl" the best I know how to. I was friends with Glenn in high school. He was always very friendly and thoughtful! We had some fun times together. I was so saddened to hear that he had died. It is a comfort to know that he was happy in Georgia. I am sorry that we weren't able to connect earlier. I am praying for all of you during this difficult time. May your happy memories comfort you. I just found out this past weekend of your passing. I had been searching for you for a year w no results. Mark, my brother wanted so much to reconnect w you and the gang back in 2011. I tried my best to locate you for him, but I failed. Mark found out this past weekend and told me and we were both heart broken . Glenn, the last time we saw you was Aug. 29, 1999. You responded w the Stormville Fire Dept. or the ambulance when my mom had a massive stroke and later passed away. Know that Mark has never forgotten you and always wanted to reconnect w his high school buddy. You are sadly missed by many. Rest in peace Glenn.

Glenn you will be greatly missed!! So crazy but you have been on my mind this past month. You were such a wonderful father, and friend. So many of my early teenage memories involve you, as you were like a father to me. Taking us to Kfests, the mall, amongst many other annoying teenage girl places, I dont know how you did it, and always with the biggest, brightest smile!! Love you and miss you always. XOXOXO
