Phenix City , Alabama- Grey Stephen Linander, age 22, resident of Phenix City, beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, died on Sunday, September 13, 2015. Funeral services are scheduled in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road Columbus, on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 2:00pm with Reverend Hank Reeves officiating. Burial will follow the service at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 6:00-8:00pm.
Grey, son of Greg and Kelli Linander, was born April 23, 1993 in Columbus, Georgia. He graduated from Smith Station High School, class of 2012. Grey worked for Linander Tree Service which he was recently named Foreman and very proud of his accomplishment. He loved everything fast, just like his father, and had a passion for many cars and motorcycles. Grey had such a big heart and deeply impacted so many people's lives; he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Greg and Kelli Linander; sister, Cheyenne Linander; grandparents, Terry and Mary Linander, Beverly and Gary Masciovecchio; great grandmothers, Margaret Nickels, Darlyne Rayburn; uncle, Jason Linander; aunt, Julie Linander; cousins, Austin Linander, Haiden Linander; great uncle, Jimmy Rayburn (Vicky) and their daughter Terrin Rayburn; many other relatives and many friends.

I did not know Grey personally, but my son Chris Redondo often spoke of him and described him as 'one of the good guys'. In today's world, that says a lot and something for parent's to be proud of. I hope mom, dad and Cheyenne find comfort in knowing how highly people thought of Grey. I am sure he will be a Guardian Angel now to his family and friends. I worked with Grey at Pizza Hut in Phenix City i was the lead cook i trained him he was very fun to be around he made my day a lots of times good young man i didn't see him after pizza hut but i always thought about him rest in peace Grey you will be missed
