Columbus, Georgia- Mrs. Hattie Lee Prather, 86, of Columbus died Tuesday, July 26, 2018 at Southeast Christian Care, Union City, GA. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday, August 3, 2018 at Fourth Street Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Johnny Flakes, III, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, AL, according to Sconiers Funeral Home, 836 5th Ave., Columbus, GA. Visitation will be 1 to 6 PM, Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the funeral home. Mrs. Prather was born August 19, 1931 in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Russ Smith and Willie Mae Moore Smith. She was a devoted member of Fourth Street Baptist Church and was retired from Ft. Benning Civil Service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Billy Lee Prather and her survivors include: two loving sons, Larry (Jennifer) Smith of Fairburn, GA and Harold (Ophelia) McCoy of Columbus, GA; five grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
