Henry D. Durden December 27, 1914- April 16, 2007 COLUMBUS, GA— Henry D. Durden, age 92, resident of Columbus, died on Monday, April 16, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, 2 P.M. with Rev. Mike McBride and Rev. John Horn officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 from 6-8 P.M. Mr. Durden, son of the late William Franklin Durden and Cordia Lucy Gregory Durden, was born December 27, 1914 in Lapine, AL. He was retired from Bibb Manufacturing and was a member of Trinity Temple Church, Columbus. Mr. Durden was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Laure Durden. He is survived by three daughters, Faye Hinson and her husband James of Manchester, GA., Sue Bryan and her husband Frank of Waverly Hall, GA., and Ann Tyler and her husband Paul of Columbus, GA.; one son, David Durden and his wife Angie of Columbus; one sister, Corrine Backmon of Boone, IA.; one brother, William Durden of Winter Garden, FL.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
