Columbus, GA- SSG Horace Lee Anderson affectionately known as "Andy", 79, of 2721 Wise Street, Columbus, GA passed Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. EST, Friday, January 19, 2018 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery wit Min. Jackie Miller, officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 2 - 8 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
SSG Anderson was born September 6, 1938 in Boston, GA to the late Lee Anderson and the late Irene Wright Anderson. He retired from the US Army and Civil Service.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Anderson of Columbus, GA; five children, Jackie Miller of Hinesville, GA, Sandra Strickland of Prince George, VA, Sieglinda Anderson of Petersburg, VA, Horace Anderson of Hinesville, GA and Latasha Hatchett of Columbus, GA; one brother, Earnest Anderson; two sisters, Lorene Anderson and Ruby Anderson both of Cairo, GA; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
