Columbus, Georgia - Dr. James Cobb, 71, of Columbus, GA passed Sunday, December 20, 2020 in Hurtsboro, AL. Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Green Acres Cemetery with Rev. Walter M. Smith, officiating.
Dr. Cobb was born June 9, 1949 in Columbus, GA to the late Charlie Cobb, Sr. and the late Louvada Huguley.
Dr. Cobb was pastor of Ross Chapel AME Zion Church, Hurtsboro, AL., Presiding Elder of the Union Springs District, served on a number of boards and committees throughout the AL/FL Episcopal District and retired from Synovus in 2004 from the General Maintenance Department.
Survivors include wife, Artie Suber Cobb; son Clemmie (Maria) Davidson; daughter, Jaime (Rafael) Cobb Lewis; two brothers, Charlie (Yolanda) Cobb Jr. and Frank Jerome Cobb; eight grandchildren and. host of other relatives and friends.
