Columbus, GA- Mr. James Phillip (Phil) Renfroe, 65, of Columbus, GA entered Glory on Saturday, November 10, 2018 while at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at River of Life Church in Phenix City, AL with Rev. Randy Comer, Rev. Mike McBride and Tray Douglas officiating. Active pallbearers will include, Mike Pate, Wade Jordan, Jerry Sweatt, Faron Renfroe, Todd Spencer, Brandon, Corey and Ward Jordan according to McMullen Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-7PM on Monday, November 12, 2018 at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Renfore was born June 03, 1953, in Columbus, GA son of the late James Harvey Renfroe and Annie Bell Davis Renfroe. He was a diesel mechanic by trade, running his own shop and being widely sought after for his skills. Mr. Renfroe loved his family and his dogs. He enjoyed fishing and other outdoor activities as well. He will be fondly remembered by family and friends for two specific things, one was "Dr. Phil", he had an opinion on everything and two, he was a practical joker.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Rita McQuagg Renfroe, Columbus; two siblings, Faron Renfroe, Columbus, Anita (Wade) Jordan, Hamilton, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family also survive.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in his memory to Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, 31909 or www.columbushospice.com.
