Smiths Station, AL- Jeffery Lane Westmoreland, 49, of Smiths Station, Alabama, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 10, 2013.
Funeral Services for Jeff will be held at 11:00 am EST on Friday, September 13, 2013 at Vance Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Westmoreland was born in Phenix City, AL the son of Hubert C. Westmoreland and Robbie Boone Westmoreland. He was a Machinist by trade and a former employee of Pratt & Whitney. Jeff was a life-long accomplished musician performing in bands since his teenage years. He was the current bass player for "Fletcher Melon Band" and also was a former member of "Ambush."
Other than his parents, Jeff is survived by two brothers Steve Westmoreland and his wife Julie of Phenix City, AL and Mark Westmoreland and his wife Dee of Opelika, AL; one niece Kelly Martin and husband Cecil; one nephew Ryan Westmoreland and one great nephew Brody Martin.

Ms.Robbi I'm so sorry to hear about Jeff. He was a wonderful person inside and out.He always had a smile on his face.He always loved to talk about his band.I wish I could have been there to hear them play when he would ask me and tell me where they were going to play, I never had the chance to go and listen to them play.
