Jepthy ÒBo BoÓ Elmore July 18, 1929- October 23, 2007 COLUMBUS, GA— Jepthy ÒBo BoÓ Elmore, 78, of Columbus died Tuesday October 23, 2007 at Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Friday, October 26, 2007 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cindy Autry and Mr. Tommy Mayton officiating. Interment will be at Parkhill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening 5-7 P.M. at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Cols. Mr. Elmore was born July 18, 1929 in Columbus, Georgia. He was the son of the late Nezzie Graham Elmore and Joseph Roy Elmore, Sr. He retired from AT&T after 34 years formerly Southern Bell as a PBX. He was member of the Telephone Pioneers of Columbus. He served as president of the Columbus Football Official Association where he was a member for 20 years. He also was a member of the Columbus Sports Counsel, graduated from Jordan High School in 1949 and was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Vivian ÒJeanÓ Elmore of Columbus, daughter, Carol Jean Elmore of Columbus, son, Gary ÒButchÓ Elmore and wife Tina of Dallas, Ga., sisters, Audrey Smith and husband Tom of Columbus, Elsie Elmore of Columbus, Barbara Rabren and husband Robert of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., brothers, Roy Elmore, Jr. and wife Vickie and Ellis Elmore and wife Brenda both of Greenville, S.C., and one grandson Brandon Elmore of Dallas, Ga., numerous nieces and nephews. Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make contributions to the Georgia Youth Sheriff Homes, PO Box 1000, Stockbridge, Ga. 30281 or Columbus Hospice House, 7020 Moon Rd., Columbus, Ga. 31909.
