On a rainy Sunday in the spring of 2002 we were driving around Fort Mountain Estates at looking properties for future purchase. Joe drove up beside us and asked if he could help us in any way. We have been friends ever sense. He later helped us acquire that is our home today. Joe had a big heart and was a great friend to animals, friends, family and strangers. We will miss him dearly and will honor him with a contribution to the Humane Society.

I knew Joe when he and Linda lived in Pensacola. He was always so present, so full of life, and love. He loved people and especially his wife, Linda. What a kind man. I know his family will miss him terribly. I was Linda's friend. I missed you two after we went our separate ways. What a great man! Goodbye, Joe.

Joe will always be remembered as a dear friend to Gerald and me. He was someone who shared a deep love for Fort Mountain, enjoyed rousing conversations and engaging times with family and friends. He will most certainly be missed by those many family members and friends.

I worked for Joe Ragland at the Columbus Chamber of Commerce back in the 8o´s. I got to Linda and Joe we became friends. Linda and all family I know life will never be same without Joe´s covert personality but he sure left you many pleasant memories. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May GOD be with you.
