Smiths Station, AL- Johnny Weeks, 68, of Smiths Station, AL died Saturday, February 2, 2019 in Atlanta, GA.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. EST, Monday, February 11, 2019 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Smiths, AL with Rev. Jeffery L. McCauley, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 2 - 8 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Weeks was born October 9, 1950 in Smiths Station, AL to the late Josephus Weeks and the late Florence McCoy Weeks. He was a 1968 graduate of Wacoochee High School; worked with Weeks Construction, a DJ and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
His survivors include his wife, Barbara Weeks, Smiths, AL; five children, Pamela (Lawrence) Crowell, Columbus, GA; Melanie (Rodney) Draper, Phenix City, AL; KeKe (Julius O.) Harris, Buford, GA; Eric Kimber and Kemenesha (Meshach) Weeks both Phenix City, AL; siblings, Josephine Frazier, Eddie (Alice) Weeks both of Smiths, AL; Curtis (Shirley) Weeks; Muddis (Raymond) Murphy both of Columbus, GA; Billy (Patricia) Weeks, Phenix City, AL; Loretta (Kenneth) Howell, Smiths, AL and Florence (Michael) Bellamy, Phenix City, AL; 19 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
