Columbus, GA- Mr. Leroy Buckner, Sr., 69, of 465 Timberlane Drive died on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral service for Mr. Leroy Buckner will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 1, 2016 at Mt. Calvary Church 1728 Floyd Road, Bishop Dr. Annette Johnston will be officiating according to the Charles E. Huff's International Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will be in Green Acres Cemetery. Viewing will be held today from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the funeral home located at 927 - 5th Avenue, Columbus.
Mr. Leroy Buckner, Sr. was born on October 28, 1945 in Columbus to the late Holsey Buckner, Sr. and Marie Burkes Buckner. Mr. Buckner was a faithful member of Mt. Calvary Church, a 1964 graduate of Carver High School and was retired from United Cities Gas Company.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, Bridget Allen (Gregory), Auburn, AL; one son, Leroy Buckner, Jr., Sacramento, CA; three sisters, Annie Marie Buckner, West Palm Beach, FL, Eleanor Jean Buckner and Denise Machelle Buckner both of Columbus; three brothers, Curtis Buckner, Detroit, MI, Holsey Buckner, Jr. and Auburn Leon Buckner (Mildred) both of Columbus; one grandchild, two great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
