Columbus, GA- Mrs. Linda Faye Williams passed away Monday at Gentiva Hospice at the age of 61.
The daughter of the late Talmadge and Mattie Miller Austin, Mrs. Williams was born in Thomasville, GA. Residing in Columbus for 22 years, she was a member of Spirit Filled Ministries where she served diligently in many capacities. She was employed in Housekeeping at Midtown Medical Center and Doctors Hospital.
Survivors include: her husband, SSG (Ret) Jerry J. Williams; two sons, Sheddrick A. Williams (Vicki) and Jerry J. Williams; a daughter, Shalonda S. Davies (Orson); two grandchildren, Xavier Davies and Chloe Williams; three brothers, Talmadge Austin (Patricia), Phillip Austin and Shawn Austin (Aliyah); five sisters, Yvonne Everett, Shirley A. Wilson (Cecil), Geraldine Johnson (Melvin), Tammy Austin and Sandra Austin;a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Williams will be Monday, 11:00 a.m. at Spirit Filled Ministries with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Burial will be at Peaceful Rest Cemetery in Thomasville, GA. Visitation is today, 1 til 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at progressivefuneralhome.com.

To our classmate, Jerry---I hope it helps to know that others are feeling your pain. To the siblings of Linda, the same for you all as well. I remember some of you from growing up near the avenues and going to school. My prayers are with the entire family of Linda.
