Columbus, GA- Mr. Lorenzo Kindrick passed away Sunday at St. Francis Hospital at the age of 61.
A native of Columbus and the son of Mrs. Mattie Pearl Sanks Kindrick and the late Johnny Kindrick, Sr., Lorenzo was a 1976 graduate of Jordan Vocational High School, where he was the star Quarterback for the Jordan Red Jackets football team. After high school, he attended Tennessee State University, playing football there. Mr. Kindrick was employed at Bibb Manufacturing for fifteen years and later at Peach State Labs. He was a member of Greater Beallwood Baptist Church.
Other than his mother, he is survived by a loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Mrs. Jacqueline W. Kindrick; two daughters, Chaundra N. Kindrick and Kendall A. Kindrick; a granddaughter, Kaira N. Andrews; two brothers, Johnny Kindrick, Jr(Berdie) and Brady Kindrick; four sisters, Bernice Harris(Bennie), Mable Kindrick, Cynthia Edwards(Donnell) and Tammy Kindrick; one uncle, Richard Sanks; one aunt, Marguerite Norris; his in-laws, Seabrooks Williams(Wylene), Michael Williams, Lorenzo Williams(Annie), Linda Ammons(Freddie) and Vickie Bailey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Lorenzo will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park on Saturday, October 27, 2018 following a One O'clock P.M. Homegoing Celebration in the sanctuary of Greater Beallwood Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Adrian Chester. Visitation is 2:00P.M. til 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
