Madeline Rose Obituary
Born on July 19, 1937, Madeline was the cherished daughter of Charles Thomas Whitehurst and Virginia Hammond Whitehurst. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Charles T. Whitehurst Jr. and Janie W. Daniel.
Madeline shared nearly 69 wonderful years of marriage with the love of her life, William "Billy" Rose Jr., who survives her. Together they built a loving family that includes their daughters Scarlett Rose Fravel (Joe), April Dillon, and Cherokee Stallings (Cary). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren-Savanna Thompson, Will Fravel (Whitney), and Zach Dillon (Elle)-and great-grandchildren Sohmer Rayne, Autumn Rose, Zaya, Penny, and Kylyn.
A woman of many passions, Madeline found joy in traveling, cooking, sewing, and collecting beautiful things. She delighted in sharing these joys with her beloved family and friends. Her devotion extended beyond the home as she served her church and community with tireless dedication.
A celebration of Madeline's life will be held at a later date to honor her memory and the love she so generously gave.
May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
