Margie Philips Peach January 8, 1924 - March 5, 2010 COLUMBUS, GA — Mrs. Margie Philips Peach, age 86, died on Friday, March 5, 2010, in Columbus, GA at the home she shared with her daughter, Minnie Simpson. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 8, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel at Crown Hill Cemetery, 1907 Dawson Road, Albany, GA. Ross Powell and Reverend Jim Jewel of Sherwood Baptist Church will officiate, and internment will follow at Crown Hill. Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Sunday, March 7, 2010, 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Harvey Funeral Home, 184 Crawford Street, Dawson, Georgia 39842. A loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mrs. Peach was born January 8, 1924, in Eatonton, GA to Maggie Peel and William Pleasant Philips. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Peach, and her daughter, Mary Susan Peach. She is survived by her daughters, Minnie Simpson, Columbus, Marcia Vaughan, Irvine, CA; her grandson, Taylor Vaughan and wife, Hannah, Austin, TX; her great grand-daughter, Pearl Vaughan; great-grandson, Phoenix Vaughan; and many family and friends throughout Georgia.
