Marilyn Ann Bryant Miller Burson
December 11, 1940 - July 5, 2022
Marrow, Georgia - Marilyn Ann Bryant Miller Burson, 81, went to her Lord and Savior on July 5, 2022 after several debilitating illnesses. She was born in Keota, Oklahoma in December of 1940 and later moved to Joliet, Illinois with her family. She was the Mother of four: David Miller (Suzanne), Lisa Domier (Troy), Gary Miller (Monica) and Regina Teeter. She was also Step Mother of four: Jeff Belote (Sue), Frank Belote (Dianne), Chris Belote (Cindy) and Juanita Burson. She had fifteen Grandchildren and eleven Great Grandchildren.
She was a retired Insurance Adjuster and enjoyed her retirement up to the time of her illness. She enjoyed traveling with her devoted Husband, H. Jeff Chris Burson. They had traveled cross-country in their Motorhome and later in personal car several times visiting her Children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Friends. She was a vociferous reader, enjoying at least two books a week and working crossword puzzles. Marilyn was an avid gardener and had a knack for nursing plants back to life.
Marilyn was a long term resident of Sunnyvale and San Jose, California. She relocated with her husband to Morrow, Georgia where she resided up to her passing. She was known for her calm and caring ways even during the worst of her illnesses. Marilyn had a kind and gentle heart and live life selflessly and with Grace. She was very generous in showing her love for her Family and Friends. She attended and worshipped at the Connection Point Church in McDonough, Georgia until the Covid restictions precluded attending in person but shared and viewed the Church's on-line broadcasts. Marilyn was a past member of the Eastern Star and strived to live her life with a charitable mindset, she will be missed by all who knew her and especially loved her.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907. A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.
