Michael W. Upton October 21, 1959 - March 30, 2009 OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Michael Wayne "Mike" Upton of Oklahoma City, OK died Monday, March 30, 2009 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Mr. Upton was born a twin October 21, 1959 in Columbus, Georgia, son of Mildred June Upton and Leroy Upton Jr. He was the owner of Upton Sandblasting and Painting in Oklahoma City. He will be remembered as a man who loved his family and who was a good and faithful friend. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman all his life. Survivors include his wife, Tamela Upton, of Oklahoma City, OK; sons, Michael Upton, Jr. and Aaron LB Upton of Oklahoma City, OK; mother and father, Mildred June Upton and Leroy Upton Jr. of Talbot County, GA, twin brother, Richard "Rickey" Upton of Asheville, NC; two sisters, Marilyn Lee Plummer and her husband Chris of Moultrie, GA and Jerri Dennise Brogdon of Talbot County, GA; father-in-law, LB Harp of Oklahoma City; sister-in-laws Pamela Schull and Michelle Harp of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the Olive Branch United Methodist Church in Talbotton, Georgia. A private family service was held in Oklahoma City at 2 pm April 1, 2009 at Corbett Funeral Home.
