Columbus, Georgia - Myra Jewel Phillips Wyrick, 95, of Columbus, GA died Monday, June 14, 2021 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 PM before the service at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery.
Myra was born January 9, 1926 in Buena Vista, GA to the late Grover Cleveland Phillips and Mattie Luella McCorkle Phillips. She worked in Medical records at Martin Army Hospital. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and was active in the Columbus Bowling League at Peach Bowl Lanes. She loved to square dance, travel and garden. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Wells Henry and second husband Warren A. Wyrick.
She is survived by her sons; Philip Henry (Tessa Robinson) of Dawson, GA, Walter Henry (Ann Mitchell) of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Brad Henry (Amy) of Dawson, GA, Alison Hardee (Matt) of Columbus, GA, Stephanie Williams (Danny) of Columbus, GA, Stacie Henry (Chris Norris) of Springfield, TN, great-grandchildren; Reid, Brooklyn, Bennett, Blair, Rayleigh, Lexie, Harlee, and Dylan.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent Columbus Hospice House at 7020 Moon Rd. Columbus, GA 31909 or Gideons at www.gideons.org.
