PhenixCity, AL- Myrtle A. Massey, 88, of Phenix City, AL passed away Thursday November 19, 2015 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm EDT Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Vance Memorial Chapel with Rev. Frances Corbin officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Massey was born June 28, 1927 in, Barbour County, AL daughter of the late Charlie Adkinson and Erie Morrison Adkinson. She was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Columbus, GA.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Seth O. Massey, daughter Rita June Cochran and son R.T. Haines.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Massey and wife Janie of McConnells, SC and Benjamin S. Massey Sr. and wife Rose of Phenix City, AL; sister, Henrietta Barrow of Buchanan, GA; brothers, Odell Adkinson of Commerce, GA and Jack Adkinson of Albany, GA; 16 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren; many other extended family and caring friends.
