I have lost a dear friend! Nemrod and I had worked together for many years at
South Commons with the various softball events that were played there. I always looked forward to seeing him there and calling him on his birthday each year. I am so sorry that I was not in town to attend his farewell. I trust the Good Lord will comfort you in the months and years ahead and that he will ease your grief by wrapping his loving arms around you and giving you peace.

Nemrod Kendrick was a second father to me he was my Godfather who I loved dearly. Him and my grandmother Lois Chaney was good friends who met many years ago at modern free. I remember as a kid tagging along with them being a little star. He always told me what I needed to hear and he will be truly missed. He touched many people. See you on the other side one day. I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Nemrod. I had met Nemrod back in 1975 when he was playing basketball with the Medical Center in the recreation leagues. Nemrod was always a worker. After retiring from the Medical Center, he worked for the Columbus Recreation Dept. for many years and was always someone you could depend on. Nemrod was very friendly and nice to everyone. He will be truly missed by those who knew him.

He was my favorite cousin. He watched over me and my sister Vanessa and our Mom when my father was overseas. He gave me my first softball glove and he taught me the game. He was a very caring and loving man. He will be greatly missed. He always reminded me of Eddie Kendricks because they were built the same. :)
