Otis Wade Jr. April 25, 1962- February 26, 2008 COLUMBUS, GA— Mr. Otis Wade, Jr. of 308 McCartha Drive, Columbus, passed Tuesday at his home. He was 45 years old. The son of Otis, Sr. and Dorothy Walker Wade of Columbus, Mr. Wade was born in Columbus, Georgia on April 25, 1962. He attended Baker High School and was employed at Grease Monkey on Gentian Blvd. Survivors, other than his parents, include: his devoted companion, Elizabeth Dawson of Columbus; six sisters, Frankie McCory (Willie), Darlene Wade, Leila Gunn (Wendell) and Ann Turpin of Columbus, Sylvia Ramsey (F.D.) of Atlanta and Peggie Sue Luke of Phenix City, AL; a host of aunts, uncles, sisters and a brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Homegoing Services for Mr. Wade will be Friday, 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Progressive Funeral Home, Inc with Pastor Russell officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Visitation is Thursday, 2 til 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Family member and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 12:45 PM the day of the service.
