Robert Glen Hodnett March 25, 1949 - November 7, 2010 PINE MOUNTAIN, GA— Robert Glen Hodnett, 61, of Pine Mountain, GA, passed away November 7, 2010 after a short battle with Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS). A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday 4:00 P.M. November 11, 2010 at First baptist Church of Pine Mountain, 100 McDougald St. Pine Mountain, GA 31822. Pastor Wayne Hollaway will be officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday November 10, 2010 beginning at 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA 31907. Robert Glen Hodnett was born March 25, 1949 in LaGrangeGA. Son of "Wayne" Hodnett and Evelyn Magruder Hodnett. Glen was a Baptist by faith and a member of First Baptist Church of Pine Mountain. Mr. Hodnett proudly served in the United States Navy and was one of America's Vietnam Veterans. He later worked as an Information Technologist with IBM and the city of Columbus for over 32 years. he is preceded in death by his father Wayne Hodnett. Glen Hodnett is survived by his mother, Evelyn Hodnett, his loving wife of 40 years Twyla Goodson Hodnett and their children, Karlyn and her husband Bruce McConnell, of Pine Mountain, GA and Christopher Hodnett of Pine Mountain, GA; sisters Anne Deaton and husband Terry, Jamie Hodnett and wife Tomi Sue, Mechelle King and husband Hubey, Gayle Slauson and husband Wes, all of Pine Mountain, GA; grandchildren, Zack Fuller, Eli McConnell. Glen also leaves behind numerous loving extended family members and truly special friends.
