Columbus, GA- Ross D. Riles, 79, of Columbus, GA passed away January 25, 2012 In the comfort of his home.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 28, 2012, beginning at 2:00 P.M. EST in the chapel of Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, with Reverend Deawn Richards and Reverend Travis Sheppard officiating. Interment will conclude at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, January 27, 2012 from 6:00 in the evening until 8:00 in the evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Ross D. Riles was born November 24, 1932, Son of the late Thomas C. and Inez H. Riles in Cusseta, Ga. Ross was a member of The Church of Columbus. In the 1970's Ross ministered to those in need of guidance at the Russell County Jail, and was a witness for Jesus Christ. Ross was a Custom Home Builder in Columbus, GA for many years. He will forever be remembered as a dedicated husband, Loving father and grandfather.
Other than his parents, Thomas and Inez, Mr. Riles is preceded in death by his devoted wife, Joyce Colleen Wood Riles, son, Ricky DeRay, and daughter, Kathy Faye Bishop.
Ross Riles is survived by his son, Mark LaDon Riles, of Columbus, GA, seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and many caring friends.
The Riles family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Columbus Hospice House for the loving care provided to Mr. Riles.
