SNELLVILLE, GA- Sara Herndon Kee age 90 of Snellville, GA passed away April 21, 2011. Mrs. Kee was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Kee. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: David and Karen Kee of Savannah, GA, Harold and Cathy Kee of Columbus, GA, and Harold and Cathy Kee of Columbus, GA; Grandchildren: Lindsey and Ron Portman, Andy and Susanne Kee, Garrett Kee and Melanie Kee; Twin Great Grandchildren: Andrew and Katherine Kee.
Mrs. Kee was a charter member of Rainbow Park Baptist Church. Her life passions were helping others, and spending time with her loving family, her children and grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 25th at 11:00 AM at Wages Snellville Chapel with Rev. Thad Smith Officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 24th at the funeral home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Monday one hour prior to the service. Dear David & Harold:
I'm glad Mike already sent you a note but I wanted you to know from me personally what a special lady your mom was and how much I loved her. She was always a friend to me, loved my boys & always asked about them, and she has been a good friend to my mother. She will surely be missed but thank you God that we have the peace and assurance that she is in heaven with your wonderful dad and with her Lord. Love to you and your family, Leslie Hayes

I am sorry to hear of Mrs Kee's passing. She was such a wonder & sweet lady. I remember her very well from my day's at Rainbow Park. She was a great friend to my mother also. Since my mom's car was stolen at the church, Sara has helped my mom get to Pioneer's once a month. Even while Sara was away getting her treatment, she called my mom to make sure she was ok. My mother is heart broken by the loss of her friend. She wanted you to know that she most definitely would have been at the funeral if she could have. Love you all!

Dear Kee Family,
Our family sends you our loving thoughts and prayers during the loss of your Mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. She and your Dad were special to me as they were our leaders in Training Union at Kirkwood. Your mom also came to the hospital when Kristi had surgery (when she was just 4 days old and I couldn't be there) to be with Jim. She also was sweet to remember Denise at DDM. She was such a sweet lady, and I know that she will be greatly missed. We love you and am sorry that we could not be there for the funeral. Again our prayers are with you, Jim, Gail, Denise and Kristi Williams

I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing, Harold. She was such a wonderful woman, so full of kindness and grace. I will never forget her thoughtfulness to me when I lost my own mom years ago. May God bless you and your family during this time of sorrow, and even though she is no longer here with you in body, her sweet spirit will remain with you forever.

I offer my deepest sympathy to Mrs. Kee's family. Losing a loved one is such a painful time, but God will give you the strength to endure. The scripture at Isaiah 26:19 will hopefully bring some comfort to your family.
