Mrs. Savannah Hall was my fifth-grade teacher at Gentian Elementary, many years ago. Mrs. Hall was a no-nonsense educator, who was very relatable to her students. She commanded respect and civility in her classroom from everyone, without exception! She was a captivating storyteller. Mrs. Hall had a special technique of adding commentaries to stories in our Language Art book that made them come alive. Many of the life lessons I learned from her were not printed in a textbook. She was kind, nurturing and very encouraging. Mrs. Hall was one of the best teachers I ever had.
I was fortunate to meet her lovely niece, Harriet, at Columbus State University. Harriet invited to her sister's wedding. I was reacquainted with Mrs. Hall at the wedding. I was grateful for the opportunity to tell her the impact she had on my life as my teacher.
I offer my condolences and prayers to the Family and Loved ones of Mrs. Hall. Thinking of you as you celebrate the remarkable life of a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Friend and Educator.
