Columbus, GA- Mrs. Shamika Renee Brooks,32, of Columbus, GA died on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital. The Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Brooks will be conducted on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 12:00 PM (CST) at Mount Ararat Baptist Church, 120 S Division St, Selma, AL 36703. Interment will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, 4400 St. Mary's Road, Columbus, GA at 12:00 Noon. Apostle Walter Taylor, pastor of Life Church of Columbus will be officiating according to the Charles E. Huff's International Funeral Home, Inc.
Visitation will be held today from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home located at 927 5th Ave, Columbus.
Mrs. Shamika Brooks was born June 20, 1983 in Selma, AL to Clara Marie Thomas and Sammy Lee McDole. She was a faithful member of The Life Church of Columbus.
Survivors other than her parents include, her husband, Shantrez Brooks, Columbus, GA; two daughters, Jaquerria Monae Thomas Brooks, Columbus, GA and Diamond Nicole Brooks of Decatur, AL; one sister, Shanta Thomas, Selma, AL; three brothers, David Lee Thomas, Selma, AL, Brian Orlando Thomas, Atlanta, GA and Sammy McDole, Jr. and a host of other relatives and friends.
