Columbus, Georgia - Mr. Willie James Chambers, 79 of Columbus, GA passed Sunday, February 6, 2022 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be 12:00 noon EST Friday, February 18, 2022 at Cascade Hills Church. Interment will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 in Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, AL. Visitation will be Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 12-5 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Chambers was born October 27, 1942 in Phenix City, AL to the late Thomas Chambers and Jessie Sparks Chambers. He was a graduate of Florida A&M University and member of Cascade Hills Church.
Survivors include two children, Rickeyta C. Snell (Abraham) and Ronrico A. Chambers (Valerie); siblings, Roosevelt Sparks (Joann), Geraldine C. Perry (Harry), Tommie Chambers (Brenda), Doug Chambers (Janice), Bernard Chambers, Sr. (Linda); two grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
