Frona Avery Obituary
She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., July 2, 1939 to the late Justus and Ethel Sinexon. She received her Bachelor of Science in Music Education from West Chester State College, and a Master of Education from Antioch University.
Frona moved to New Hampshire in the late 60s and worked as a music educator and chef throughout the region including Dublin School, High Mowing School, The Folkway Restaurant, and her own establishment, Deacon Brodie's Tavern, Dublin. In Nashua, she continued her passion for music and cooking by volunteering for the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter and singing in the choir of the Universalist Unitarian Church.
She is survived by her two daughters, Wyckham Avery of Washington, DC, and Heather Avery Stockwell of Dublin. She is also survived by her grandson, Daniel Elwood Stockwell III, son-in-law, Daniel Elwood Stockwell II, both of Dublin, and her sister, Sara Gual of Nashua. She was predeceased by her sister Olga Brigham.
A celebration of her life will be held on Jan. 1, 4 p.m. at the Universalist Unitarian Church of Nashua, 58 Lowell Street, Nashua. All are welcome to come and share food, songs and stories about Frona. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter.

In referencing Frona's name, I realized that she and I went to West Chester studing music at the same time. We were very close friends and I have nothing but good thoughts of our time at West Chester in the music dept. My condolences to your family. Great picture of her on the obit.

The world should stop… a dear lady has died.
She was to me; friend, mentor, teacher, debater.
Brilliant, DEAR, thoughtful, passionate.
At Dublin School, she was a teacher, mentor, friend.
Lately, she's been a delight to debate with on FB, and a wonder to try to keep up with in her travels and interests.

A bit over a year ago we met at long last in P.boro for a meal and drinks. She was her own wonderful, gregarious, energetic self.
