James Eaves Obituary

James "Jimmy" Eaves

Winchester NH — James R. Eaves, 60, of Winchester, NH, passed away at the Cheshire Medical Center in Keene after a period of failing health on November 3, 2021.

'Jimmy' was born in Peterborough, NH, on December 24, 1960, son of the late Russell and Glenna (Scribner) Eaves. He was a 1978 graduate of Con-Val High School and later attended a vocational college and earned his LPN degree. James truly enjoyed caring for and assisting the elderly. He began his career in nursing at Pheasant Wood Center in Peterborough and continued his gentle care in Florida where he resided for many years. After his retirement in 2017, he moved back home to the Monadnock Region and eventually to Winchester, NH.

Jimmy enjoyed traveling, especially the trip to the Grand Canyon. He also loved games of chance, at a casino or on a cruise. At one time, he had been active in the Dublin Community Church.

Jimmy is survived by his sister, Nancy and her husband Hank Campbell of Dublin, NH, and by his Aunt Betty Nutting of Connecticut, and many cousins. He is also survived by his beloved dogs, Rowdy and Willow. Jimmy was pre-deceased by his brother David and by Jimmy's good friend Paul Puckett.

At his request, services will be private and at the convenience of his family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James's memory to The Monadnock Humane Society, 101 W. Swanzey Road, Swanzey, NH 03446.
