Jeremy Joseph Blanchette

1988 - 2021

Jeremy Joseph Blanchette was born on December 16th, 1988 and passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 24th, 2021.

Jeremy's love for all things New England sports was matched only by his passion for fishing. He rarely missed a chance to get a line in the water with his close friends. His life was marked by friendships, and so many of those friends will be forever changed by the sudden loss of Jeremy. Every person he met became instantly comfortable and at ease around him, that was his gift. He had so many deep connections with his friends and he made every one of them feel like the most important person in the world.

After the passing of his father, Donald J. (D-Dub) Blanchette, Jeremy was raised by his grandmother, Patricia Dyer. As time went on, those roles reversed and Jeremy cared for her until her passing. He later lived with his aunt Brenda Blanchette, and they shared a very special and loving relationship.

He was very active at Peterborough Fire and Rescue for a number of years as an EMT and Firefighter. Jeremy completed extensive training to include Firefighter 1 Certification. After 7 years he resigned to care for his grandmother, and the Fire Chief made sure to note that he would always be welcomed back. Jeremy was also a Son of The American Legion, belonging to Post 11 in Jaffrey.

Jeremy graduated from Conval High School and over the last several years worked at Millipore in Jaffrey, working his way to Warehouse Lead, a job he excelled at.

Jeremy is survived by his aunt Brenda Blanchette of Peterborough, his brother Donnie and his wife Amanda of Rindge and their children, a sister Melissa and her children as well as his uncle Vernon Charlonne of Keene. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

There will be no formal calling hours or funeral, but a celebration of Jeremy's life will be held at the American Legion Post 11 in Jaffrey at a later date. Jeremy was the life of every party, and this one will be no different.
