Johanna Muhonen

New Ipswich NH - Johanna Muhonen, 92, of New Ipswich, NH, passed peacefully at home on Saturday December 17, 2022. She was born March 16, 1930 in Hancock, MI to parents Arthur and Josephine (Neimi) Somero.

Johanna grew up in Michigan and came to live in New Ipswich, NH shortly before she married her husband Edwin. They raised 9 children together.

Johanna is survived by her sons Keith and his wife Kathleen, Michael and his wife Norma, Charles and his wife Coreen, Norman and his wife Dorothy, Timothy and his wife Rachel, and Raymond; her daughters Katherine Somero and her husband Gary, Deloris Seppanen and her husband Timothy; her brother Joseph Somero; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She is predeceased by her husband Edwin who passed in 2012, her son Kenneth, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Family was important to Johanna, she enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren, keeping a collection of books and toys readily available for when she had visitors.

Family and friends are warmly invited to attend services for Johanna at the Apostolic Lutheran Church, 117 Goen Rd New Ipswich, NH, on Wednesday December 21. A viewing will be held at 10AM with a church service at 11AM, followed by a luncheon. A burial will be held in the spring at Smithville Cemetery in New Ipswich.
