John R. Frank-O'Neil

1969 - 2017

PETERBOROUGH -- John R. Frank O'Neil, 47, of Peterborough, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, February 2, 2017 after a very brief illness.

John was born on March 3, 1969 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, son of John R. and Kathrynne (Rivers) Frank. He attended schools in Townsend and Ashburnham, Massachusetts and he had lived in Ashburnham and Jaffrey before settling in Peterborough.

He was a mechanic at the Monadnock Boat Store in Rindge and had previously worked at Gauthier Auto Service in Jaffrey.

John was passionate about motorcycles and racing. He enjoyed everything from his Harley-Davidsons to his dirt bikes, and enjoyed racing cars on asphalt, dirt and ice. He worked for years on Steven Gauthier's race team both on the crew and as a driver, racing at Monadnock, Claremont and Canaan Speedways. John most loved spending time with his children and his friends.

John was predeceased by his mother, Kathrynne Hoffman.

In addition to his father, John 'Jack' Frank of Greenville, John is survived by his former wife and mother of his sons, Nikki O'Neil of Jaffrey; his fiancé, Kelly Coll of Peterborough; his two daughters, Christiane Hallinan of South Carolina and Shae Coll of Peterborough; his two sons, Sabastian and Julian O'Neil, both of Jaffrey; one granddaughter, Jettalynn Hallinan of South Carolina; two brothers, Walter Frank and James Macgowan, both of Greenville, and many cousins and close friends. He will definitely be missed by all.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate John's life on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the main function hall at the Jaffrey VFW Memorial Post #5613, 22 Hathorn Road, Jaffrey, NH 03452.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in John's name to the O'Neil Children's Fund, c/o Nikki O'Neil, TD Bank, 28 Main St. Jaffrey, NH 03452.
