Nancy Rogowsky Obituary

ROANOKE, Va. - Nancy Evelyn (Willard-Young) Rogowsky of Roanoke, Va. passed away on Thursday, Jun. 25, 2015. Born in Peterborough she was the daughter of Raymon C. Willard and Doris Blood Willard. She grew up in Temple and lived in Keene for many years before moving to Roanoke, Va. in 2003. She attended Appleton Academy in New Ipswich and went on to Keene Teachers College (now Keene State College) in New Hampshire where she earned a Bachelor of Education degree.

While in New Hampshire, Nancy was a den mother and a member of Miller Grange, Hillsborough County Pomona, New Hampshire State Grange and National Grange. After moving to Roanoke, Va. she joined the Newcomers Club of Roanoke Valley where she made many good friends who will miss her dearly. She will be remembered for her lovely smile and sense of humor by all who knew her.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Stan Rogowsky; her sisters, Barbara Harling, Anita and husband, Paul Cyr, and Samantha Szulerecki; her three sons, Ed Young, Doug and wife, Shari Young, and Greg Young; her stepdaughter, Gloria and husband Ron Sorel and her stepsons, Bob and his wife, Marcia Rogowsky and Scott and his wife, Nanci Rogowsky. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kira and Ashlin Young, Brandon, Andrew and Matthew Sorel, Connor and Tara Rogowsky, and Jacob Rogowsky, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held in Friendship Hall, Temple on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015 1 - 3:30 p.m.
