Virginia Williams Obituary
Farmington CT - Virginia, "Viki", Williams, aged 72, brilliant and beloved, died after an arduous battle with progressive brain disease and a severe stroke, on January 3, 2023 surrounded by her husband of 50 years, Roger, and her three children at Uconn/John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington, CT. Viki was born in Abington, Pennsylvania on September 10, 1950 to R. Dell and Florence Virginia "Ginny" Revell, and received a Bachelor's degree in English Literature at Lake Erie College in 1972.
An avid lover of birds, books, and birthdays, Viki spent her life immersed in creating beauty with flowers, gardens, design, painting, writing, antiques, and her fervent commitment to community. Always one to show up for others and first to lend a hand, she gave without measure and left things better than she found them. Despite her private battle with a degenerative brain disease, she embodied the essence of a life well lived in daily rituals and an unflappable sense of humor and adventure. She derived immeasurable joy from her four grandchildren and was deeply committed to her three children and husband.
Viki is predeceased by her parents, Ginny and Dell, and is survived by her husband Roger, her three children and four grandchildren, Whitney and her daughter Willa, Molly and her children Henry, Oliver, and Elliot, her son Bennett, Roger's children by previous marriage, Paula Williams, Tim Williams, Matthew Williams, Gillian Williams, her brother Robert Revell, sister Suzanne Atherholt, three nephews, several cousins and many beloved chosen family and friends. Her sharp wit, thoughtful cards and flowers, and passion for living are deeply missed.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on May 14, 2023, 2:30 pm, at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Peterborough, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on the "Viki Williams Memorial Fund" on gofundme.com to be given to causes Viki wholly believed in.

Dear Roger, Whitney, Molly and Ben,
I am so very sorry for your loss. The world has lost a special soul. She was a force of nature and a giving friend to so many. I shall remember Vicki as my unique, witty, clever, artistic friend extraordinaire. She was such an influence on my life. I shall carry her in my heart and be thankful.
May your fond memories and the love of family and friends bring you some measure of peace.
