Aaron Friedrichsen Obituary
Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 5, 2013.
Aaron Douglas Friedrichsen, 20, of Overland Park, Kansas, went home to be with his Savior Jesus, on February 5, 2013. Aaron was born on May 5, 1992, in Overland Park to Doug and Lisa (Langguth) Friedrichsen, and big sister, Kelsey. As a young boy, Aaron loved exploring the great outdoors. He was especially good at fishing with his own lures that he would devise on the spot. In high school, Aaron attended Christ Preparatory Academy where he played football and enjoyed many good times. He graduated in 2010. Aaron also attended Johnson County Community College where he took several classes in the automotive and welding areas. Being a good friend was very important to him throughout his life. He had a big heart and was always very generous and compassionate. One of the most rewarding chapters of Aaron's life was Boy Scouts. Even as a little Tiger Cub, he was a natural born scout. He loved the adventure and excitement and especially those winter campouts where he could make his own shelter. Aaron held almost every position in Boy Scouts, including Den Chief where he loved working with the younger boys. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Aaron also loved to camp at the Bartle Reservation in Osceola, MO, and Camp Naish in Bonner Springs, KS, where he was also a lifeguard and camp counselor. Aaron was very active in Scouting's National Honor Society, Order of the Arrow. On February 5, 2013, our son Aaron entered into the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We trust our Savior that he is completely safe in His care. He leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish many special times, his parents, Doug and Lisa Friedrichsen of Overland Park, Kansas; his sister Kelsey Friedrichsen of Kansas City, Missouri; grandmother, Marjorie Friedrichsen of Schaller, Iowa; and grandmother, Jane Langguth of Fontanelle, Iowa. He was preceded in death by both of his beloved grandfathers, Don Friedrichsen and Fritz Langguth. Aaron also leaves numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of classmates, and friends. He will always be loved. Memorial services for Aaron Douglas Friedrichsen will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 10100 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS, on Saturday, February 16, 2013. Visitation is at 1pm; the Memorial Service is at 2pm. Immediately following the service, in the reception hall of the church, the family looks forward to sharing Aaron's favorite meal of BBQ and fellowshipping with you there. The Friedrichsen family wishes to express our sincere gratitude for all the acts of kindness shown to us through this difficult time. We have felt the outpouring of your love and prayers. Thank you.
