Lou, Denise and girls,
We were very shocked and saddened to learn of Abraham's early passing. Though we didn't have the chance to know Abraham as he matured into a young man we have fond memories of our time in Terre Haute with your family. The loss you have experienced is comparable to no other. Please know that we are thinking of and praying for all of you. May God comfort Abraham and give you strength.

I recently spoke to Abraham on his 28th birthday, October 27, 2008. I called to wish him a happy birthday, and he was riding with his parents who were taking him out to dinner to celebrate the occasion. I told him I couldn't wait to come to Terre Haute and play Ping Pong with him as we used to play all the time before my family and I relocated from Terre Haute in l996. Boy, he was always so good at that game, and I could never beat him!! I mentioned that we will go play tennis also. He was good at that too!! He was excited about my next visit and said he'd be looking forward to all of that. He then told me that he had been swimming at their swimming pool during the summer and mentioned how nice that was. Little did any of us expect this sudden turn of events: the tragic news of the 'falling asleep' of Abraham. How sad, how shocking. Abraham was like a son to me. He was a classmate of my oldest daughter, Danielle at North High School. Abe, I shall miss you greatly. We'll play ping pong one day together and I may have a chance to beat you at it!! Rest in peace and may God have mercy upon your soul. Norma Barnhart (Orlando, Fl.)

The outpouring of support and overwhelming amount of friends and family that have come to mourn with my family and I have meant so much to us. Sometimes it takes a tragedy to realize how blessed one truely is and how many people from near and far care about us. So I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your thoughts, prayers, and support.

My brother was one of the funniest people I know. Even when he wasnt trying to be funny, he was hilarious. Anyone that knew Abe, knows what I am talking about. I will greatly miss having him around to make me laugh all the time. My spiritual side has allowed me to be comforted in knowing he truely is in the best place possible, however, my human side cannot help but to feel a huge void. Every morning I wake up, assuming I have even slept at all, I realize it is another day I have to get through without having my brother around, and its much harder than I ever thought it would be. Never in my life did I think I would have to bury my brother at age 28. But I know I have to be thankful that I was blessed enough to share 23 years with Abe. Some people dont even get that long with their siblings.

Again, I would like to thank all of you. My family appreciates it and I know Abe does as well. God Bless!

Dear Louie, Denise, Andrea & Amanda,
There are no words sufficient enough to express your loss, my heart swells and my eyes weep for you. I can not imagine the pain you must be going through. The loss of a child has to be the most horrific pain anyone could endure. Please know that we are praying for you and hope that in time the pain will lessen and you'll be filled with fond memories of Abraham. Our deepest sympathy, May God Bless you all.

To the Corey family... Abe was an outstanding man who took pride in himself, his accomplishments and his family. I was blessed with meeting Abe while in college at ISU and had many wonderful times with Abe. Abe could always make your day brighter and knew what to say to put a smile on your face. We all know that Abe was a little stubborn at times, but he is one of the greatest men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I will greatly miss Abe's presence, voice, compassion and stubborness. Oh, how I will miss him, he is with the Lord and is in better and safer place, we all have to believe that.
