I only met Chuck one time when Jon and I took a road trip to Montana for a visit. He graciously arranged a tour of the sawmill which was very impressive. Sorry to hear, condolences to the family.

I met Charles in 2012, while guiding for the Silver Hilton, on the Babine River, BC. It was week 1, of his 3 week sojourn to the northern waters. Day 1, I was concerned that he had no real lunch, in his kit. Charles said, "I'll snack on the move." He had the lightest lunch kit in the crew. :) At lunch, we would stop to eat and Charles would fish near by. Usually to good natured ribbing, about a cast or something related, from the peanut gallery onshore. His energy and kindness, seemed limitless. He will be missed.

I will always remember everything Charles taught me while watching him fish. One of the best! Loved watching him swing flies in front of Tarpon
