Brock Crow & Luiz Jesus my entire family was extremely moved by the sermon today. My relatives kept sharing that it spoke directly to their heart. The Spanish translation made the service super special. To have both of my best friends conducting the service for my father today will forever be engrained in my heart. Love you all! Today was an emotional day for all those who have the privilege of having Abel as a friend.
It was the funeral of Mr. Adan Peña and the ceremony was beautiful.
Pr. Brock brought a message full of love and hope for all. Luiz was the translator and he did a great job.

Words cannot express how thankful we are for all the family members and friends that came out today to be with us for my Father Adan Peña's funeral service. My entire family felt your support, your prayers, and know we could have not made it through this day without each one of you present. The love that was felt into today's service was Christs love that my dad genuinely gave out to each person he came in contact with. The legacy of my father will live on through each of his sons & the love that he gave my mother will be covered by family & friends as we take care of my sweet mother. Thank you to each person that drove a far distance. We look forward to seeing everyone once again either at a Family Reunion, Quinceañera or Family Wedding to continue truly what family is. Once again, we love each one of you dearly. To not end this day on a somber note, but I celebrate my dad's legacy of playing the accordion through my brother Marcus carrying on the legacy of playing the accordion at today's reception.

Welcome! My name is Brock I'm a pastor at The Gathering Church with Abel Peña. Where Adan Peña attended. On behalf of the family I want to Thank you for being a part of this day to celebrate the life Adan Peña.

OBITUARY
Adan Peña Sr. was born July 10th, 1947 in Robstown, Texas and was a long-time resident of Grand Prairie, Texas up to August 25th, 2016.

He was one of seven children born to the late Juan and Irene Peña and was the beloved husband of Aurora Peña for almost 50 years. Adan will forever be remembered by his devoted brothers Juan Manuel, Jose Luis, and the late Victor; loving sisters Florentina Arguello, Juanita Contreras, and the late Guadalupe Guerra; beloved children Adan Jr. and Connie, Ronnie and Patricia, Marcus, Adrian and Sulema, Abel and Lora; treasured grandchildren Jessica, Michael, Richard, Jesika, Ariel, Cristian, Angel, Adriyanna, Aryanna and Adam; great-grandchildren Caden and Carter, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. Adan loved music, playing his accordion with Tejano bands, cooking, being with his family, and he was an avid Dallas Cowboy's fan.

Abel and I have been friends for over ten years and through our friendship he has helped me walk through some difficult times. Today I am honored as his friend to stand with him and his family during this time of loss.

Getting to know the Peña family more I have been so impressed by there unity and love for one another. It is obvious there father Adan was very intentional about the family loving one another.

Adan Peña was

1.A Great Friend - Adan loved people and was intentional about his friendships. He would call his brothers every day. He was in bands with his friends where he could play the accordion with the best of them.

2.A Great Father - Being around all you men this week I would say that you PEÑA men have confidence. The reason that you all have great confidence is you had a great Father that has affirmed you all these years. I would encourage you today that your father might not be physically present on this earth any more, but he is bragging about you boys in heaven today. I am truly sorry for all of your loss, but God is here for you and he wants to lead you every day.

3.Adan Jr - Adan you carry your father's name! Though it might feel hard to live under his shadow and memory, your dad named you after himself to show how proud he is of you.

4.Ronnie - When I see you I see a compass. It seems as though you always know what direction you and others should go. Your dad was a steady man and you inherited that trait from him. You will continue to help navigate the family.

5.Marcus - Your dad loved you so much. He believed in you even at times you haven't believed in yourself. Marcus your best days are ahead of you.

6.Adrian - You inherited your father's strength. You can continue to bring strength to your mother, just as much as your father brought strength to her.

7.Abel - Your dad never worried about you. He didn't view you as the baby of the family, he knew you had the ability to fulfill your dreams. I observed your father beaming with pride as he watched you go after your dreams.

8.A Great Grandfather - He LOVED his grand kids dearly. Observing his grand kids these past few days I can tell they really loved there Grandpa.

9.A Great Husband - Adan was fully devoted to his lovely wife Aurora for 49 years. Adan and Aurora were officially the cutest couple I have ever met. They would come to church on Sundays and you could just tell that Adan really adored you Aurora. Aurora, today Adan is in Heaven bragging about you and is also thankful for your persistent prayers that you prayed for him to receive Christ.

You know the most important thing about Adan is that he was a Christ follower. The thing is funerals put life in perspective for us. Adan only graced this earth for a short 69 years but he is now in eternity in heaven. I believe he was gifted a new beautiful gold accordion and he is now playing music with the angels.

You know friends many in this room did not get to say there proper good byes to Adan. But make sure that you get to say hello again.

It is with a heavy heart, that I want to send my condolences & prayers to the Peña family for a great loss. May Adan Peña R.I.P. Adan is the 3rd acordion player we have lost in 5 years. As a musician, you are expected to entertain people & bring life to a party. Adan did just that. He entertained & mainly brought life to a party. He was always humble when playing his music on that acordion. You could tell he was in a zone. I always had the utmost respect for him, as not only was he my fellow bandmate, but a longtime friend of the family. When it came to music, he wanted punctuality. Which I am guilty of not being. However, once we started jamming, punctuality was forgotten. I mentioned we have lost 3 accordion players in 5 years. The loss of this accordion player, hurts me the most, as his style & energy is the one I felt most connected to. The last 2 times we played, we announced ourselves as Los Larrys. An announcement that will not be made again, ever. I am fortunate to have recorded one of our last practice sessions & to still have that recording on my phone & computer. Adan, it has been a blessing & privilege playing music with you. We will jam again. Thank you familia Peña for allowing me to be part of Adan's & your life. God bless you all.
