Addie Colenia Canfield

Colenia Moore Conkling Canfield, age 85, of Corsicana, Texas passed away February 2, 2012 in Corsicana. Colenia was born on January 23, 1927 in Franklin, Texas to Henry Mayfield and Jewel Barnett Moore. She graduated from Franklin High school in 1943.
She then moved to the Houston area where she worked as an IBM keypunch operator. She was an active member of the Corsicana Chapter of the Eastern Star, Oakridge American Legion Auxiliary, Charter President of the Oakridge Lions Club, President of the Lioness Club of Oakridge, and was a recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellow Lions Club. She moved to Corsicana in 2007 to be near her daughter, Marilyn Smith, and her family.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Rebecca Conkling and Marilyn Smith, and her first husband, Frank Conkling. Survivors include her husband, Frank Canfield; sister and husband, Martha and Willon Rucker of New Waverly; brother, Frank Moore of Streetman; daughter and sons-in-law, Richard of Corsicana, Pat and Dan of Long Lake, Minnesota; son, Tom Conkling of Spring; grandchildren and spouses, Heather and Billy Don Thornton of Corsicana, Allan and Martha Smith of Waxahachie, Lucas and Parish Conkling of Canyon Lake, Derrick and Chloe Conkling of Spring, Dylan and Brittney Conkling of Conroe, Elias and Richelle Conkling of Conroe, Levi Conkling, Ryan and Taylor Lagieski of Long Lake, Minnesota. She leaves nine great grandchildren as well.
Visitation with the family will be held at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 10 a.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel. Pallbearers will be Allan Smith, Lucas Conkling, Derrick Conkling, Dylan Conkling, Elias Conkling, Levi Conkling, Ryan Lagieski, David Rucker, Donald Rucker, Jacob Thorton and Ricky Smith. Graveside services will be held at Forest Park Cemetery Lawndale at 1 p.m. following the service in Conroe.
