Thought so fondly of Kai tonight as Diane and I danced in our red and white practice skirts---we missed our third.

To the Ostrem Family
Our families have know each other for almost 100 years. Our fathers went to the" lodge" together in Honolulu. Herman was a dear friend to me. Kai and I went to the same schools and we continued our friendship through out our life time .She taught me how to play bridge, I was good at the "social" part. Before Bob passed, we ( my girls and I ) visited Honolulu in 2004 and went to their beautiful Condo. We "talked story" and looked out to the Pacific Ocean. I received a lovely letter from her in April. I will miss you. Aloha my dear friend. You and Bob have joined my Bud ..with all my aloha

Kai was one of our oldest and dearest friends in Hawaii. I spent my first Christmas in Hawaii in 1940 at her family home. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to the entire Ostrem family with all of our love and aloha.
