KEENE - Adeline M. Burke, 97, of 29 Melody Lane, died peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, at her home with her family by her side after a brief period of failing health.

She was born in Lincoln on Jan. 22, 1913, the daughter of Joseph and Odile (Lantaigne) Landry. She was raised in Laconia, and attended schools there.

She was a communicant of St. Margaret Mary Parish in Keene, a member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne Sodality, and a former member of the Keene Senior Citizens Center. She was the last living member of her family of nine children.

She is survived by her daughter Marie Jacques and her husband Armand of Keene with whom she made her home; seven grandchildren, Kathryn Howard and her husband Kevin of Stockbridge, Mass., David Jacques and his wife Susan of Loudon, Ann Marie Jacques of Keene, Cheryl Ann Harrison and her husband Gilbert of Lavernia, Texas, Michael Bossie and his wife Debra of Almond, N.Y., Jeffrey Bossie and his wife Bonnie of Arkport, N.Y., and Matthew Bossie; 13 great-grandchildren, Michelle Flibotte, Andrea Hope, Jennifer Jacques, Beth Ann Jacques, Trent Dennett, Todd Dennett, Trevor Dennett, Chelsy Richardson, Cayla Harrison, Morgan Allison, Courtney Bossie, Joseph Bossie, and Meggan Bossie; two great-great-grandchildren, Brooke Shumate and Dean Hope; a nephew, George Landry; and five nieces, Sally Paradise, Anita Landry, Lisa Landry, Carole Wells, and Janet Lafreniere.

She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice "Mike" Burke; two sons, M. Joseph Bossie, and Lawrence Bossie, infant; a great-grandson, Martin Bossie; four sisters, Josephine Breton, Ann (Gerry) Clarke, Mary Ann Landry, and Cecilia Landry; four brothers, Peter Landry, Raymond Landry, George Landry, and Wilfred Landry.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, 33 Arch St., Keene. The Very Rev. Daniel O. Lamothe, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Main Street, Keene. There are no visiting hours.
