I was saddened to hear of the passing of such a great educator and gentleman and wish to send my sincere sympathy to his wife and family.

I attended the old Centre School nearly fifty years ago and I can still remember Dr. Commito and his concern for the students and faculty

while he was serving as Principal of that school. My dad had served on the Everett School Committee for several terms and was one of Dr. Commito's staunchest supporters.

May he rest in peace and based on how he lived his life, we can be certain that he is enjoying his eternal reward, much deserved.

I was born and raised in Bedford and I first met Dr. Commito as a student in the school system there. I was very young and had a million questions for him - he had an answer for every question and a hug for every one of us that needed one - for some of us, it was the only hugs that we got. I am so very lucky to have known him. I've always felt that he epitomized the meaning of the word "teacher" - but he was so much more.
