Condolences Adrian were in theatre productions and classes in Detroit. After he left the city, we lost touch. I am happy to know he was successful and accomplished his goals.

I studied ballet in Detroit with Adrian when we were teenagers. I discovered him again years later through Facebook (the original purpose of social media, right?), so delighted for his success as a stage performer. I just learned of his passing while watching the Tony awards. I am so sad for him and for his family and for the theater community. I remember him as a fun, kind, helpful and talented person who made those long tough rehearsals with Mrs. Severo more bearable. And he went through so much with his career-ending accident! I will hold him in the light.

Mr. Adrian Bailey was a Broadway singer, actor, and dancer whose career was tragically cut short by an onstage fall before a performance of "The Little Mermaid." We hope many of the encouraging words and thoughts on this site comfort you during this difficult time also. We enjoyed many of the shows he performed in that he brought much laughter and joy too. May you find comfort in your wealth of fond memories together. May Almighty God in the Heavens comfort your hearts with peace and loving kindness as you cope with this precious loss in your lives. Mr. Adrian Bailey will certainly be missed by Broadway and the whole world. May family, friends and extended family cherish his memories.

I met Adrian in a production of ELMER GANTRY at LaJolla Playhouse. What a kind, generous, and enormously talented man. He fought a hard fight for many years with great dignity and grace.
