I worked at Mount Vernon Hospital as a medical transcriptionist for 27 years, and knew Dr. Lineberger well. He was always friendly and never in a rush, and I would often stop in his office and chat when I had medical reports for him to review. So sorry to hear of his passing. He was a wonderful person.

No personal memories, but Dr. Adrian S. Lineberger was the Air Force doctor who delivered me in the later 1950´s. His history shows that he was stationed at Scott AFB, Illinois. My mom later named my younger brother Adrian in his honor. Dr. Lineberger sounds like an amazing man. My condolences to his family.

I never met Adrian, but his son John is a special neighbor of my mother's in Wilmington. After reading Adrian's Memorial I can see where John got his generous and helpful spirit. My condolences to the family.

Just read of "Smitty's" death in the Wilmington Star News. Prince of a man, loving husband, father and grandfather that gave himself to loving others, especially his family. His humble spirit will be missed by many. He set the standard high.
