Adrian Wallace Moore Jr.

I'm so sorry to read of Wally's passing. He was a dear family friend of my aunt & uncle who live across the court from the Moore's, and also my parents for as far back as I can remember. He was always 'larger than life' in both stature and personality. I'll never forget his kind support when my dad, Dr. Bill Luckett, passed away in 2003. I'm also sorry to read of his health struggles that he endured over the past few years. He was an amazing man. We send our deepest condolences to Liz. God Bless.

I was saddened to hear of Wally's passing but relieved that his wonderful spirit is now free from his broken and ailing body. He was one of my father's [Tom Perry Jr.] closest and dearest friends -- so much that he might as well have been family. I shared more than a few good times with them on hunting trips -- memories that will always make me smile. Wally's passion for life, love and respect for the great outdoors, was/is an inspiration to me. I can not think of enough words to describe his unforgettably vibrant and jovial personality. To say that he will be sorely missed by all those who knew him is an understatement.

Wally was a remarkable man. I knew him as a good friend of my parents, Carl and Doris Longley. Liz, stay strong.

I knew him as both "Uncle Wally" when I had been a boy and I then called him just, Wally, as a man. I know that my late father, Mike or Glenn C.Michel, would also have wanted his decades long friendship with him mentioned as well. He was a shining example for dealing with some of life's devastations especially after 2007. Rest in peace sir & please save @ least one place, Orr-Moore, for me in heaven :-).

My mother and I first met Wally while I was in therapy at National Rehabilitation Hospital. As my mother stated below about us being able to sit at Wally's lunch table, that one kind gesture of his sparked a friendship that will last forever. I was in a wheelchair at the time, and Wally, Who was walking laps around me, served as an inspiration. His mentality and perspective was contagious to all. He taught us that certain circumstances, no matter how grave, should not alter one's outlook. The passion Wally exuded for life was and is insurmountable. I will forever treasure our friendship until we meet again.

When my daughter Rachel was in a horrific car accident I cried to God asking him "Why?" Now I know it was so our paths would cross with Wally Moore. I remember the day we met, the lunch room was crowded at NRH and Wally made room at his table for us to join him. Wally gave me my faith back. He was a true inspiration, loving and giving friend. Wally taught me that every day we have is a pure blessing and we should always live our lives to the fullest. He was a remarkable man who always had such a positive attitude about everything. Wally has forever touched my life and he has made me a better person. I will miss my friend so much but I know that we all have a new guardian angel now. God bless you my dear friend Wally. My only regret is not meeting Mr. Moore sooner in life. I will cherish forever the short time I knew him that our Heavenly Father gave me. Like his college buddy Hubert Gower, he was a gentleman in every sense of the word. Together they are celebrating and laughing it up in heaven! My family's thoughts and prayers go out to Miss Elizabeth.

Wally Moore's was an extraordinary man and I have been fortunate and blessed to be a small part of his incredible journey in life.
What made Wally such an outstanding person is a compilation of character traits of which biographies are made.
Wally was a man of deep faith, a philanthropist, a person with an overwhelming positive and can do attitude toward life. Wally saw adversity as a challenge not a problem and embraced those challenges with energy and fortitude unique to his character.
The individuals and groups he has encouraged and helped was made up of a lifetime of effort and came to him as naturally as breathing.
To me, the greatest and most wonderful trait of Wally Moore, reminds me of a passage in the New Testament in Corinthians I Chapter 13 that expresses no matter what we do in terms of good deeds without love we have missed the boat.
Wally expressed this love by holding out his hand and offering to share his life with others. He expressed faith, hope and energized us as individuals to move forward in this life and believe in ourselves and our fellow man.
Wally has treated each of his friends in a very special ways and for me his friendship has shaped my life in so many wonderful ways I am truly grateful.
I am a better man for knowing Wally Moore.

Wally was a "Man's Man"..........A Mentor and Inspiration to me, and loved by many. He will be missed and always respectfully rembered to those who knew him.

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Mr. Moore. Though we were good friends I could never bring myself to call him Wally. To me he was always Mr. Moore. I felt he deserved that. I loved him as if he were my family and will miss him terribly. My prayers are with you.

"Wally" Moore was an inspirational man. He had a powerful presence, energy and drive that not only brought him success but brought the best out in others as well. He was a man of abundant integrity, generosity and compassion. I consider it a privilege to have known him and to have been counted among his many friends. He will be sorely missed.
