Adriana Lanzarini

"Be still. Close your eyes. Breathe. Listen for my foot fall in your heart. We are not gone but merely walk within you." Adriana Lanzarini now walks and dances in the hearts of those whom she loved. Her year long battle with cancer came to its end peacefully on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 with her husband by her side. She was 50. She was born July 21, 1965 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil a daughter of the late Ronaldo and Heloisa Maria (Botelho) Barone. She earned her both bachelor and master degrees in marketing while in Brazil. She met Claudio Lanzarini through a position at work and they married on October 24, 1992 in Rio de Janeiro. They moved to the United States in 1995 when Claudio was offered a position for his work. They settled in Westborough and moved to Shrewsbury in 1999. She earned bachelor and master degrees in education from Becker College, Clark University and Worcester State College. She worked in the Head Start program for the Worcester Public Schools and later accepted a position in the Framingham Public Schools where she taught bilingual classes for young children. Adriana's passion was dancing which she did throughout her life. She loved teaching, travelling, and performing ballet, and the author Mata Hari said, 'The dance is a poem of which each movement is a word'. She also swam competitively in Brazil and taught in the CCD program at Saint Luke's Church in Westborough. In addition to her husband of 23 years, Claudio, she leaves their three daughters, Victoria Barone Lanzarini, Amanda Barone Lanzarini and Isabella Barone Lanzarini, all at home; her brother Joao Barone and his wife, Sabrina of Rio de Janeiro and the late Ronnie Barone; her step-mother, Fatima Barone; her in-laws, Edson and Marcia Lanzarini in Rio de Janeiro and Cesar and Maria Claudia Lanzarini of Grafton; an aunt, Angela Botelho; also survived by nieces and nephews. From her daughters….. "Mom......we remember you as the beautiful, thoughtful, caring mother you were to all of us. We remember you as the one who loved us with your whole heart; the one always there for us in our time of need. We will never forget the sacrifices you made and the battle you fought, but we will hold our fond memories of you even closer. We love and miss you every day. Thank you for everything." Family and friends will honor and remember Adriana's life by gathering for calling hours at Heald & Chiampa Funeral Directors ~ The Sumner House, 5 Church Road, On the Common, Shrewsbury Center Friday, January 15th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in The Church of Saint Luke the Evangelist, 70 West Main Street, Westborough on Saturday, January 16th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
