Dr. Ahang Rabbani

Dear Ahang. I discovered your passing, and it brought great sadness! We mailed each other a couple of times whilst you were writing a book about Quddus. You had written that it would take a couple of years to finalize and since that time I have been patiently waiting to finally see it for sale in one of the Publishing Trusts, but it never appeared. Now I know why. I wish I would have told you that of all the scholars, your papers always excited me the most. And you were so humble! Your loss is a true loss to the world. May God bestow a myriad blessings on you.

Best co worker ever. I often think of Andy and all of the great memories we had together.

It was with a sad heart that Ghody and I heard about Ahang passing away.

Today is your final journey in this world. You are being placed in your resting place while your soul is traversing higher and higher in the next world. I can just imagine how hard it must be for your dear family and friends to say the final good bye. It has been raining for the past two days in Toronto area. It is as though the clouds are sharing the grief that all who care about you are feeling.


I worked with you on translations for a few months when you were the chief editor of Iran Press Watch. You were a great motivator, source of encouragement and I learned a lot from you. You were a great friend though we never met.
