I visited Ailsa many times when I was interning as a chaplain at Luther care communities last winter. She was so interesting talking about her home prior to coming to Canada. She also shared a lot about her artistic interests. It was sometimes hard to get her talking but when she started she enjoyed the visits. I would have liked to have known her before her memory failed. She always insisted that I wear an identification badge. God bless her memory.

It was a great pleasure to get to know Ailsa when she lived at Luther Tower. She generously donated 23 of her large canvases to LutherCare Foundation and we organized her art show and sale in September 2007. Several of her works now grace the walls of Luther Tower and Luther Special Care Home, as well as many Saskatoon homes. My wife and I bought one of her paintings and enjoy it every day. She was a very talented and very gracious lady.
