I was blessed to know Al and his family for what seems like a lifetime. He was one of my father's closest friends for more than 30 years and worked two shops down, most of that time. My father, Bob, the Barber, and Al, the Shoemaker, were often called the Mayors of Manor Oak as they were friends to so many customers and business owners at Manor Oak. My father loved to golf with Al and jot down his Italian recipes. More importantly, they shared stories of each other's children, their ups and downs, and all the important things in life. He will be greatly missed by our family.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Amelio family.
